What Is Self-Mastery?

If your body is your vehicle in life and your mind is the navigation system and engine, then think of self-mastery as your ability to excel in understanding, maintaining and using them in accordance with how they were actually designed.

People who are skilled and excel at self-mastery know how to:

  • Stay out of traps and pitfalls (FAD diets, negative behaviours, addictions, etc).

  • Define goals and navigate their way to them (drop weight, learn a skillset, achieve balance etc).

  • Heal themselves and overcome their weaknesses (let go of limiting beliefs, overcome anxiety or depression, drop weight etc.).

Others who are weak in self-mastery experience the following:

  • Staying stuck in the same cycle for years (rotate between dieting and gaining weight, relapsing in addictive behaviours over and over again, they get stuck in ruts longer).

  • A consistent decrease in their confidence in living life (they’re unsure and anxious often).

  • Develop new weaknesses and their body deteriorates rapidly overtime (depressed more often, chronic conditions, relationships get worse).
